I have known Elizabeth most of my life. When I complained that I was out of room to display the results of my various hobbies, she convinced me to set up a website. It was a difficult process for me, as I am not comfortable as a self-promoter, but she walked (dragged) me through the process, convincing (forcing) me to write about the things I make, suggesting (insisting) that I add elements to make a better website, often against my better (worse) nature. Creating a website from scratch is a lot of work. She was VERY patient.

As an artist or business person, it is often difficult to avoid falling in a rut, doing things the same way over and over again. I visited many of the websites on her portfolio prior to writing this, and noticed that every one is extremely personalized for the often unique product or service provided. That indicates a dedication to the client and the product that is far from normal these days.

Everyone who has visited the website compliments me on it. More importantly, all my sales are made through this website, which says it all.

If there has ever been a person undertaking a web site project who possessed more apprehension than me, I cannot imagine it. I am not a person who is comfortable with a computer and I feel as though I have little time for learning new things. All that aside, as a professional event planner, I know the benefit of a well designed website. For my own high school reunion, I needed a complex site that would allow classmates to learn of our event plans, register and pay online, and ask questions. The website must also include many other features associated with the maintenance of a 600+ person data base and I wanted a way to display old and new pictures of alumni.

Elizabeth Olson was my angel! She gave me everything I was looking for and a few things I didn’t even know I wanted. Her idea to allow folks to make online donations in memory of a deceased classmate was brilliant and I expect this feature to increase the amount of the donations we receive. Elizabeth was always professional, fast and accurate -- not to mention just plain fun to work with! And as for the computer apprehension, forget about it! Elizabeth even patiently taught me how to edit the site myself when updating is required.
